Hardcover. First edition. Small quarto. A commercially produced photo album consisting of 18 linen-hinged cardboard leaves with 36 composite mounted albumen photographs. A total of 250 portraits are depicted in the album. Bound in contemporary half-leather and maroon cloth over boards, with the title stamped in gold on the front board, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. Each cardboard leaf has a photograph mounted on each side, with oval portraits of seven legislators, except for the first, which contains five portraits (with a larger image of the speaker at the center). Some of the captioned names have very small and neat contemporary pencil emendations. Light edgewear and a few small abrasions to the leather binding, some dampstaining to the endleaves and margins only of the first and last photograph, about very good. Scarce. *OCLC* locates only one copy.
