Published during WWII, this religious epic apparently struck a nerve and was atop the national bestseller lists for four years. Basis for the 1953 blockbuster religious epic, the first major widescreen film, featuring Richard Burton, Jean Simmons, Victor Mature, Michael Rennie, Ernest Thesiger, and a very young Harry Shearer. A nice copy of a very scarce issue.
