Softcover. First edition. Octavo. 117pp. Perfectbound in wrappers. Partial drink-ring stain on the front cover, near fine. Inscribed by the author to U.S. Poet Laureate Daniel Hoffman. Laid in is an envelope with two Typed Manuscript Poems - "Being There" and "Milkfoot" - not contained in this book, but both label "from Us Really Brave," which we could not identify and was possibly a working title for her next book. Preston, who graduated from Bryn Mawr College and the MFA Writing Program of Goddard College, was a CBS Fellow in Writing at the University of Pennsylvania (where she likely encountered Hoffman) and a Bread Loaf Scholar. An uncommon volume.
