Hardcover. First edition. Folio. 525pp. Two hand-colored charts. Half leather with marbled paper covered boards, marbled page ends and spine with raised bands and gilt lettering. Partially printed presentation label on the front pastedown dated July 1858 that is Signed by Diedrich Willers, Jr., then Secretary of State of New York, to one George H. Herbert. Below that an old library label. Discoloration to both pastedowns and endpapers, tiny hole on first page, front hinge split but holding firm and boards thoroughly rubbed and wear at the corners with some fraying, still very good and sound with supple pages.
