Genenva, New York: Fairview Nurseries, [circa 1920.
Price: $100.00
Hardcover. Octavo. Black cloth boards bound along the topedge. Illustrated with more than 70 color (and a few black and white) images. With no title page or evidence one existed. [160]pp. Rubbing to the board, bumping to the corners and with 14 pages trimmed, else very good. A beautiful book issued by The Fairview Nurseries of Geneva, New York, that begins with several examples of new homes before and after landscaping. The remaining pages having color photographs of the various types of trees, shrubs, bushes, and flowers that are available, along with a brief description on the rectos. Sadly just over a dozen pages are partially trimmed, we suspect for use in scrapbooks or decoration. A slightly compromised but still attract turn-of-the-century nursery guide.
