Signed for my old friend and Commander Ralph Loveland, who well knows the ways of fighting men. con todo afector. Sam Marshall." Col. Ralph Loveland was highly decorated in bother World Wars, and afterwards was the Commander of the Michigan National Guard. Marshall developed a system, revolutionary in its time, of interviewing numerous participants in military actions in order to get the overall picture.
