[Washington and Wisconsin: circa early 1900s].
Price: $400.00
Unbound. A collection of 43 black and white real photo postcards, with a commercial postcard of English actor C. Hayden Coffin for a total of 44 postcards. Each is approximately 3½" x 5½". Typical edgewear, some with creases, overall very good. The postcards depict men, women, and children posing for the camera, some in a studio setting but many outside. One shows two women in a paddle boat, one shows a man and two women walking down a city sidewalk, on the verso is written, "Aunt Anna, Dad, Aunt Sue, in Jacoma, Wash." One shows an outdoor family dinner and on the back is printed "Levelezo-Lap," which is Hungarian for "letter card." Of the 44 cards, only one appears to have been mailed, and only 14 have been written on (all captions save for the one mailed). Only two locations are present, Jacoma, Washington (written on a card) and Medford, Wisconsin (printed on a card). We believe two have handwriting in Hungarian. A charming collection of early 20th century postcards.
