Black polished calf, boards each with a simple gilt and blind border, spine with raised bands creating six compartments each repeating a gilt and blind border save for the second and fourth from the top which house black leather labels with the series title and volume respectively stamped in gilt, page edges marbled, and dimgray endpapers. Bookplate of Dana Jerome Blackwell on the front pastedown. Boards and spine worn, the spine label occupying the fourth compartment from the top has broken in half (remains laid in), front hinge repaired, scattered foxing and soiling throughout, good only.
