Full dark-brown morocco, each board with a decorative border stamped in blind, the front board of each volume with the title stylized in gilt, the spines have raised bands creating six compartments, each repeating a device stamped in blind save for the second compartment from the top which has the title and author name in gilt and the fourth from the top which has the volume in gilt, the edges of the boards are striped in gilt, decorative gilt turn-ins, all page edges gilt, and marbled endpapers. Some light wear along the spines and at the corners of the boards, and a few scuff marks on the rear board of Volume Two, else near fine with the gilt bright, the pages clean, and the hinges sound.
