Softcover. Printed blank book. Approximately 4" x 9". Flexible thin illustrated card wrappers stapled at top with cloth reinforced (as issued) along the top edge. illustrated printed wrappers. A blank book of approximately 50 leaves, for practicing spelling, with each verso printed with ruled lines to be filled in, and printed space for the student's name and the date. Rectos are unprinted. Modest crease on front wrap, cheap quality paper uniformly toned but otherwise very good or better. Nearly every line has been filled with spelling words in pencil, all or most dated in 1909, with the students name recorded on every page: "Frieda Siemers". Frieda was seemingly diligent and filled both side of every page. On the recto of one leaf is a pencil copied grammar rule.
