Early Baseball Cabinet Card. Circa 1867
Price: $1,000.00
Unbound. Cabinet card. Oval image measures 4.5" x 3.5" on larger thick card stock. Slight foxing, very good or better. Image of six young men standing and wearing quite early uniforms with striped socks, baseball belts, neckerchiefs, baseball shoes, some holding caps (one with a star pattern at the crown), and two with early bats. While the team is unidentified, very faint writing on the verso might indicate the photographer and the location might be "Williams" of Rockport, Massachusetts. In any event a nice, quite early baseball team image.
