[San Francisco, California]: Shell Oil Company, [late 1941 - early 1942].
Price: $125.00
Softcover. Presumed first edition. Folio. [12]pp. Stapled self-wrappers. Wraps rubbed, soiling on the wraps and a bit on a few pages, edges bumped and nicked, last page with residue where something had been laid down, thus very good. A booklet published by the Shell Oil Company shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor, anticipating American car and tire production to come to a halt, and therefor necessitate an increase in vehicle maintenance to keep cars running. The booklet was seemingly sent around to Shell stations, with that hopes of convincing them to join the Shell "Ground Crew" program, a group dedicated to keeping American cars on the road.
