Binding cocked and bottom edge of front cover with some loss of pigmentation, topedge a trifle soiled and first few pages with a small and light marginal dampstain in the bottom corner, near very good in a spine-toned good only dust jacket with a dampstain along the bottom of the spine and cover panels (but owing to the black jacket doesn't show through egregiously). A young woman runs away from home, gives Boston commune life a whirl. Named a *New York Times* outstanding book of the year. A Dell paperback edition is readily available, but the first edition is surprisingly scarce in commerce.
