Vernacular Photographic Portrait of Six African-American Women 1945
Price: $450.00
Unbound. Gelatin silver photograph. Approximately 4.75" x 7". Small tape remnant on verso, tiny tears at the margins, else a nice near fine rich image. Subjects unidentified, but captioned on the verso "New York City 1945. This picture was a failure." Six fashionably dressed Black women, half standing and half seated, wearing hats and smiling for the camera. Despite the caption, the women look both pleased and happy.
