Between the Covers

Unbound. Tintype. Approximately 2.75" x 3.25". In original or early oval brass mat and protector, lacking the presumed original leather case. Some light crackle on the image and a little bit faded, very good. Image of an approximately five year old Black boy wearing a straw hat standing beside a tricycle, with a vague trace of a photographers Victorian-era studio back drop. A charming and unusual image.
