Garden City, New York: Doubleday & Company, Inc., 1960.

Price: $250.00

Hardcover. First edition. Edited by William Kelley. Octavo. 352pp. Near fine in toned and stained, sound but good only dust jacket with small chips and tears. Nicely Inscribed by Bel Geddes' widow, noted costume designer Edith Lutyens Bel Geddes, to Tony Award-winning actress Marian Seldes: "To Marian with much love and many wonderful memories." Laid in is a four-page Autograph Letter Signed from Edith to Marian Seldes, thanking her for her sympathy and talking a bit about her late husband's appreciation of her (Seldes), and she writes that she and her husband had a "wonderfully full life together." (Letter with heavy offsetting on the final leaf and a bit of creasing.) Autobiography of the legendary industrial designer who began in theater, with a very nice association.
