Hanover, New Hampshire: Granite Publications, 1971.
Price: $85.00
Softcover. Numbers One and Two. Two issues. Octavos. Printed wrappers with yapped edges. Yapped edges with some creasing, spines faintly sunned and Volume Two with a tiny soiled spot on the front cover, a near fine set. Number One notes that it was letterpress printed in New Hampshire, and in Number Two the "Word about Contributors and Future Issues" has been crossed out in ink and replaced with a holograph note including the ever-heartening phrase "$ Okay now." Prints material by Robert Bly, Richard Eberhart, Osip Mandelstam, Tomas Tranströmer, and 21 modern Japanese poems translated by Hiroaki Sato, among much else. A nice production; editor Young was during this time a professor of Russian language and literature at Dartmouth College.
