Hardcover. First edition. Fine in fine dust jacket. Additionally the book bears a second, almost certainly unused "trial" jacket, with no text on the flaps or rear panel. Inscribed by Green on the front fly: "For Adele - Great Friend! With love - and long thoughts through the years, long talk on art (yours & mine especially - and with joy for courage given & taken for the task - Onward! With much love - Hannah August 14, 1972." Green has also written on the front flap prior to the date of publication: "for Adele & Dimitri. John Wesley 1971". Laid into the book are two photo copies of reviews from the *New York Times* with Green's ink annotations, as well as a sheet of paper laid in on which Green has practiced the inscription in the book. Scarce in this state.
