Hardcover. First edition. Illustrated by Edward Ardizzone. Fine in about about near fine price-clipped dust jacket with touch of sunning to spine and hint of toning to the edge of the rear panel from an old jacket protector. A children's story by the British writer Nicholas Stuart Gray, who has recently been rediscovered with the help of Neil Gaiman who called him "one of the most brilliant children’s authors of the 20th century." Nearly all of Gray's books are surprisingly difficult to find, particularly when in the first edition and nice condition like this copy. Very scarce.
