Alonso Alegría, son of novelest Ciro Alegría, is one of Peru's best-known playwrights. He was teaching theater and dramatic literature at Kenyon College when this playscript was published. According to the bibliography on his website, "Daniela Frank" premiered at the 1984 Williamstown Theatre Festival. This script has a date of 1983 and, following the conclusion, gives several other dates (presumably performances): June - April, 1982 (as "Inventing Inferno"), and five dates in 1983-4 in Gambier, Ohio (home of Kenyon College). Presumably "Clandestine Performance" refers to early performances in preparation for an official debut? *OCLC* locates no copes of this playscript, only a 1989 German edition (seven copies).
