The Twilight of Magic

New York: Frederick A. Stokes, 1930.

Price: $200.00

Hardcover. First edition. Illustrated by Lois Lenski. Purple cloth with publisher's printed labels on cover and spine. Neat contemporary owner gift inscription on half-title, binding slightly cocked with moderate wear at base of spine and bottom corners, very good in an about good only dust jacket with the middle of the spine roughly excised, nicks and tears at the edges, moderate rubbing and soiling, and heavy interior tape repairs. Lofting took a break from his *Doctor Dolittle* series to write this medieval fantasy that takes place in an age when magic is dying and science beginning.
