Nicely Inscribed to noted Spanish Spanish diplomat, historian, and pacifist Salvador de Madariaga on the half-title: "A S. de Madariaga con mi admiracion y el deseo de verso in 'nuestra' España. Granada. 8-4-68. J. Guevara" ("To S. de Madariaga with my admiration and the desire for verse in 'new' Spain"). Ladrón de Guevara was a Spanish poet, journalist, and Senator.
