The Box Man
New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1974.
Price: $3,500.00
Hardcover. First American edition. A bit of rubbing at the bottom of the boards and a little foxing on the spine, very good or better in modestly rubbed very good dust jacket. Inscribed by the author to English author Iris Murdoch in Kanji (except for his name, which is in English script): "Iris Murdoch. April 1975. Kobo." Avant-garde novel verging on dystopian horror, about an anonymous man living in a cardboard box that drew comparisons to both Beckett and Vonnegut.
