Inscribed to minister and Civil Rights activist George Houser on the half-title: "to our friend George Houser, Best wishes, Ahmed Kathrada. 14th May 2005." With a Typed Letter Signed from Karen Weidert of South Africa Partners, sending the book along and expressing regret that Houser could not attend the signing event. Houser, who is white, was a Union Theological Seminary graduate, cofounder of the Congress of Racial Equality and founder both of the American committee on Africa and the African fund. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a member of ACOA's national committee and corresponded regularly with Houser. Houser dedicated his life to Civil Rights both in America and in Africa. An excellent association.
