Softcover. First edition, wrappered issue. Octavo. 47pp. Perfectbound in wrappers. Near fine with touch of toning and small stain in the front wrap. Poet David Ignatow's copy with his bookplate (and a printed blurb of his on the rear wrap). Inscribed by Schwerner to Ignatow and his wife: "For Dave & Rose yr copy, with love & thanks for our long friendship. Armand." Laid into the book is a two-page photocopy of a typescript of the poem "Tablet XXV," which is also Inscribed: "for David, on [word?] 8/31/84 with affection. Armand." This is Schwerner's most famous work, a series of poems which claim to be reconstructions of ancient Sumero-Akkadian inscriptions.
