Last Entry: A Poem by Snowdon Barnett, being a Romance of Antarctica and Captain R. F. Scott, RN, CVO.

Stocksfield / Boston / Henley [and] London: Oriel Press / (Routledge & Kegan Paul), (1982).

Price: $35.00

Softcover. First edition. Foreword by Sir Peter Scott. Illustrated by Joby Jones. Octavo. 56pp. Perfectbound in white illustrated wrappers with publisher's unprinted white label affixed to rear cover as issued, obscuring English price. Foxing on the edges of the wrappers, very good copy, but with text fresh and clean. Advance Review Slip from the American publisher (Routledge & Kegan Paul) laid in. An elusive title in the marketplace. Snowdon Barnett is the author of several collections of poetry. He lives in West Berkshire, England, and works as a solicitor-advocate, and is also a beekeeper (according to his publisher). Sir Peter Scott, son of Antarctica explorer Captain R.F. Scott, contributes an effusive, one-page foreword in praise of this long, historical poem about Scott's last expedition to the Antarctic.
