Moderate foxing, corners lightly creased, else a very good copy. The first periodical published by the American Anti-Slavery Society. The *Anti-Slavery Reporter* was published from June, 1833 through November, 1833 (Vol. I, No. 1 through Vol. I, No. 6), when it was superseded by the *American Anti-Slavery Reporter.* The American Anti-Slavery Society was founded in 1833 by William Lloyd Garrison, John Greenleaf Whittier, Arthur Tappan, and others. The bulk of the text of this issue prints "The Address of the New York City Anti-Slavery Society," and also prints the "Constitution of the New York City Anti-Slavery Society," and an appendix printing "Immediate Compared with Gradual Emancipation."
