Unbound. A collection of 119 loose black and white photographs measuring between 3" x 4" and 8" x 10" with some captions. All items are near fine or better with some edgewear.

A collection of black and white photographs of jazz festivals in the 1970s. The photos are mostly candids of live shows which appear to be professional with captions describing the photo process and names of performers. Performances are from the Monterey Jazz Festival and Berks Jazz Festival. Musicians featured here include Miles Davis, Steve Grossman, Dave Holland, Charles Mingus, Joe Zawinul, and Walter Booker, among others. The photographs show the musicians on stage in candid performance shots from both festivals. The prints themselves are in a variety of sizes with some enlarged to 8” x 10”. The Monterey Jazz Festival began in 1958 featuring “music, jazz conversations, panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions, and clinics.” Beginning in 1970 a scholarship fund was part of the festival. Clint Eastwood has been a long time fan of the festival, filming a segment of his movie *Play Misty For Me* there, and later joined the board of directors in the 1990s.
