Hardcover. First edition. Octavo. 315pp. Photographic endpapers. Frontispiece portrait by Charles Dana Gibson. Front fly offset from a clipping, else a nice, near fine copy in very good internally repaired price-clipped dustwrapper. Second of the two autobiographies by the beautiful actress who was at the center of the scandal wherein her husband Harry K. Thaw murdered architect Stanford White over her favors. In this volume she reveals that Thaw carefully premeditated the murder, rather than acted out of passion (for which he served seven years in an insane asylum). Nesbit lived long enough to see Joan Collins play her in the biopic *The Girl in the Red Velvet Swing*. A very uncommon title, especially in jacket.
