Price: $600.00

Hardcover. Quarto. Six-ring binder with flexible red cloth over card boards stamped in gilt. 22 mostly gelatin silver photographs measuring 8" x 10" and mounted back-to-back. Additionally two other images are laid in. 18 of the 24 total images are Signed and/or captioned by the photographers. Boards showing general wear and are else very good; images with modest smudging or foxing mostly confined to the margins, otherwise near fine. Photographers included Phillip Presser, Edward Urbanski, Kenneth Morris, Margaret Fulton, Mrs. W.C. Hoffman, and Richard Masterson. Images include portraits, landscapes, one of a hobo, boats, trains, and perhaps as a harbinger of things that would come, military aircraft.

A little more than a decade later in 1953 the 14 year old camera enthusiast George A. Tice would become the youngest member of the Club where he competed and honed his craft. In an interview, when asked what he had learned at the Club he replied "Everything! I got a sense of what a traditional fine photographic print was. I learned all the rules of good composition..." (Shaub. *20th Century Photographers: Interviews on the Craft...*).

Nicely wrought images from a serious club, with a peripheral connection to probably New Jersey's most famous art photographer.
