Boston: Little, Brown, 1946.
Hardcover. First American trade edition (preceded by a limited edition in a different format). Some sunning and light wear, a good plus copy in fair only dustwrapper with some chipping at the top of the front panel and spine ends, and some modest fading to the spine. One of the most important of Waugh's later works, incorporating many of his ideas about faith and redemption. This trade edition is actually quite scarce, as the book club edition and later printings are occasionally offered incorrectly in its place.
