Signed presentation from Baldwin on the front endpaper, to mystery writer Mignon Eberhart and her husband: "Minnie and Alan, with Love from Faith." The friendship between Baldwin and Eberhart is well-documented, with Eberhart, considered the founder of the modern romantic suspense novel, was occasionally referred to as mystery's Faith Baldwin. She was one of the leading female crime novelists and among the first to introduce female heroines.
