Education Automation: Freeing the Scholar to Return to his Studies. A Discourse Before the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Campus Planning Committee

Carbondale, Illinois: Southern Illinois University Press, (1962).

Price: $1,750.00

Hardcover. First edition. Small quarto. About fine in modestly rubbed else near fine dust jacket. Nicely Inscribed by the author: "George J. Hasslein with highest regard and long friendship. Buckminster Fuller." Accompanied by a stapled five-page "introductory brochure" (printed rectos only) presenting the book. Stapled to the brochure is an Autograph Letter Signed from Fuller to Hasslein thanking him for his letters and for sending his feedback about the book. The letter has some small tears and age-toning. Hasslein was also a professor at Southern Illinois and later became the founding Dean of the College of Architecture and Environmental Design at California Polytechnic. A nice association.
