Hardcover. First edition. Tall octavo. 348pp. Original publisher's papercovered boards with beige paper spine. Untrimmed. Ownership signature: "John Kaighn. 1788. Paid Thos. Lloyd. December 30, 1788." Presumably Kaighn was from of the prominent New Jersey family of the Haddonfield and Newton Tract area. Slightly later ownership Signature of Samuel G. Wright, an important New Jersey merchant and industrialist. Titled in ink on the spine. Iron from the ink has eaten through the paper on the spine a bit, else near fine. Very scarce in original boards.
