A collection of essays on women that is notable for its review by Desmond MacCarthy in *The New Statesmen*, in which he concurs with Bennett's view on women's intellectual inferiority. An assessment that prompted Virginia Wolf to respond that the only inferiority inherent in women is their limited access to higher education and personal experience. Scarce in jacket.
