First American edition. Very near fine in very good dustwrapper with some shallow chips and tears at the upper extremities. Nicely Inscribed by the author: "To Samuel Shipman, a very courteous gentleman in his own right from Michael Arlen. May 1925." Interconnected short stories, and basis for a 1931 film of the same name, directed by Louis Mercanton.
