Front hinge a little tender, else near fine in an attractive, very good dustwrapper with shallow chipping at the crown and rear panel, and some slight tanning. A famous French play, basis for a 1949 film of the same name, directed by Raymond Bernard and featuring Jean-Pierre Grenier and Viviane Romance. Aline Bernstein designed the set and costumes for the first performance in English, which ran on Broadway for only fifteen performances. Scarce in jacket.
