Working with the Working Woman

New York: Harper and Brothers, (1922).

Price: $400.00

Hardcover. Early reprint. Bookplate, modest wear on the boards and the spine ends, a very good copy lacking the dustjacket. Nicely Inscribed by the author: "Once a working woman always a working woman, but at half a hundred years what a place to be a working woman as Twin(?) Meadows, Williamstown, Mass! Come again! Cornelia Stratton Parker." Below the inscription is a penciled date, probably in the hand of another: "Nov. 1935." Parker worked undercover to report on the working conditions of six working class women's professions, originally serialized as six articles in *Harper's Magazine*.
