Homes (pseudonym of Daniel Mainwaring), James M. Cain, and others scripted the classic 1947 Jacques Tourneur film noir adaptation, *Out of the Past*, featuring Robert Mitchum, Jane Greer, Kirk Douglas and Rhonda Fleming. Remade as *Against All Odds* with Rachel Ward, Jeff Bridges, James Woods, and Jane Greer (playing the mother of the character she played in the original film). A presentable copy of a desirable, cheaply made wartime book.
