A tight copy of this subtly horrific play, adapted from a story by Hugh Walpole, about a band of thieves who ingratiate themselves into the household of the unsuspecting title character. Basis for at least two films, a 1935 version directed by George B. Seitz, and featuring Aline MacMahon and Basil Rathbone; and a 1951 version directed by John Sturges, featuring Ethel Barrymore, Maurice Evans, Angela Lansbury, and Keenan Wynn.
