Hardcover. First edition. Just about fine in very good dustwrapper with a shallow chip at the crown eliminating most of the word "the," and some modest rubbing. Lovely young thing turns to the goofily-named Valiant Willoughby for help when her mother collapses. Hill was a beloved popular author whose career stretched from before the turn of the century to after the Second World War. Still collected today, first editions in acceptable dustwrappers are quite uncommon.
