Hawthorne CA: The Christian Book Club of America, (1968).
Hardcover. 1968 edition. Fine, lacking the presumed dustwrapper. The meditations of a late 18th Century mystic who had highly detailed visions of the death of Jesus Christ, and whose visions were reportedly the inspiration for the harrowing portrayal of the crucifixion in the Mel Gibson-produced and directed *The Passion of the Christ*. Apparently the first American version appeared in 1876, with only a few other editions appearing in English before the film sparked a revival.
