Clark's copy with his bookplate and ownership initials. Tipped-in to the book is a two-page Autograph Letter Signed to Clark from Otis Skinner, the actor who played the lead in the play, mentioning *Kismet* and agreeing to talk about another performance. Also laid in is a slip of paper with the signature of author Edward Knoblauch. Clark was an exceptionally important figure in modern American drama, aside from authoring many books, he served as the longtime literary editor for the drama publisher Samuel French.
