The boards are darkened and worn at the edges, rear cover partly stained, rear hinge is partially split, endpapers a little creased and soiled, a good, sound copy with the text pages lightly toned. A definitive compendium of lectures, biographical sketches, sermons, poems, and profiles of African-American religious, social, educational and cultural institutions.
