Owner name stamps on two pages and on the front cover along with the signature of the owner, early muslin tape neatly sewn along the spine connecting the outer bifolium to the inner bifolium, upper fore-corner clipped affecting all pages but not interfering with the score, soiling, and edgewear, a complete but good only copy. For voice and piano. Features a sample of "Resignation" by Caro Roma, and "I Come to Thee," by Geo. Graff Jr. and Caro Roma. Paul Laurence Dunbar is an important African American literary figure, remembered in part for writing the lyrics for the landmark musical, *In Dahomey*, which according to historian Gerald Bordman, was "the first full-length musical written and played by blacks to be performed at a major Broadway house." *OCLC* locates four holdings.
