Dr. A. M. Townsend was Chairman of the Board of Trustees, under the Auspices of the National Baptist Convention, U. S. A., Inc., the Woman's Auxiliary and Southern Baptist Convention. His wife, Willa A. Townsend was a prolific author, and a pioneer in the publication of gospel music. A wonderfully designed pictorial fund-raising broadside, with bold graphics. The broadside announces a fund-raising campaign for the National Baptist Missionary Training School and the American Baptist Theological Seminary.
