[Sheet music]: Win' A Blowin' Gentle (A Florida Night)

Boston: The Arthur P. Schmidt Co., 1921.

Price: $50.00

Softcover. First edition. Folio. Originally two nested bifoliums making eight pages. Lacking the rear conjugate leaf of the outer bifolium (pages seven and eight, a replacement of which is supplied in a Xerox facsimile), dampstaining along the bottom throughout, owner name on the front cover, two tape repairs to the front cover, edgewear including tears and chips, an incomplete and fair only copy. For voice and piano. Plate impression "A.P.S. 12133-6." This publication misspells Dunbar's middle name with a "w." Paul Laurence Dunbar is an important African American literary figure, remembered in part for writing the lyrics for the landmark musical, *In Dahomey*, which according to historian Gerald Bordman, was "the first full-length musical written and played by blacks to be performed at a major Broadway house." *OCLC* locates six holdings.
