African-American poet, playwright, and novelist Owen Dodson’s copy, with an early ink inscription, dated on his 21st birthday: “Owen Dodson Birthday 1935 from Coumill” on front pastedown. Dodson’s first collection of poetry, *Powerful Long Ladder*, was published in 1946. One of 1000 copies of the first issue, of a total printing of 1500 copies. *Gallup* A37a.
