A sepia-toned photographic plate of the author mounted on the front pastedown, modest mottling on the cloth, spine lightly age-toned and cocked, very good being American silent film actress Lulu Glaser's copy with her decorative bookplate and contemporary signature on front fly. Both Lulu Glaser and Richard Harding Davis were from the Philadelphia area. This novel was the basis for the movie of the same name.
