Snipes who compiled these stories and reports from 1873-1915, was the founder of the New York Psychical Society. This reads more like a diary of psychical occurrences throughout the period with Mr. Snipes supplying first-hand knowledge in his reports. His wife, Charlotte Snipes was a medium and had the book published in 1927.
